THE CRAIG
Scotts Brook, South West, Western Australia

Goodbye to "The Craig"
Our family has owned this land for over 100 years, and I can show you where there were old shepherds’ cottages, remnants of the original wells and the early slab shearing shed. In fact, I have a 150-year-old theodolite in my office that surveyed a lot of the surrounding area.
The house I am sitting in was built by Dad and Mother in 1956. Although Dad is long gone, we had a birthday for Mother's 90th on Sunday, which should go a long way to explaining why we have to sell.Â
My name is Greg and I have been managing this place for Mother for the last nearly 20 years since Dad has been gone, but I am getting too old. My sisters and I have no one to take over and I am struggling on my own, so Mother has to sell. It’s not a happy thing, but “Such is life.”

We could do the normal “sell it to the neighbours” thing, and still might, but it would be nice if we can give some new people a start. I would love some new blood to be able to benefit from the work I have put into lifting the fertility and carbon in the soils using natural, holistic and regenerative methods. (Including applying fertiliser and trace elements, which I think are a good thing.)
Whether people buy just one, more or even all the lots available, we just hope it will make people happy, healthy and wealthy. Good luck.
